The Story Behind the Lens

I was twelve when I got my first camera, and something about it immediately clicked. I loved the way a photograph could hold onto a feeling—the light, the energy, the tiny moments most people might otherwise miss.

Growing up in Los Angeles gave me an early appreciation for fashion, storytelling and the art of creating an image. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from incredibly talented photographers from around the world. Nearly three decades and a few camera upgrades later, photography is still my first love.

I’m Lindsay Rose, the photographer behind Lindsay Rose Studios. I create personal brand photography for women who want to be seen as the face of what they’re building—without feeling posed, performative or like they’re pretending to be someone else.

My Approach

My style lives somewhere between candid and editorial: natural expression, beautiful light and thoughtful direction, with a polished, magazine-inspired finish.

Before your session, we’ll talk through your brand, your vision and how you want your images to feel. From wardrobe and location to the story we’re telling, every detail is considered so your photos don’t just look beautiful—they actually make sense for you and your business.

And when the camera comes out, you won’t be left wondering what to do with your hands. I’ll guide you through the entire shoot while leaving enough room for the unplanned moments that often become the best images.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

Most women tell me some version of, “I’m so awkward in front of the camera.”

That’s completely okay. You don’t need to know how to pose, and you don’t need to arrive feeling effortlessly confident. Creating that comfort is part of my job.

My sessions are relaxed, collaborative and encouraging. I’ll direct the details, notice what photographs beautifully and help you settle into the version of yourself that was already there. The goal isn’t to make you look like someone else. It’s to create images that feel unmistakably like you—elevated, confident and fully seen.
